White Roses and Romantic Details Decorated This Serra Plaza Courtyard Wedding

Julia slipped into her wedding dress inside the Serra Plaza Bridal Suite then headed to Mission San Juan Capistrano where Chris was waiting for their first look. With the Ruins of the Great Stone Church as their backdrop, Chris turned to see his beautiful bride standing before him. Smiles filled both their faces and sweet compliments were shared during the intimate moment. Photos of the couple were snapped around the Mission grounds before they hopped into a car to head back to Serra Plaza.
Guests made their way through Serra Plaza’s grand gates, signed Chris and Julia’s guest book, then found a seat in the Courtyard. White floral arrangements lined the aisle and decorated the Spanish fountain ahead while sparkling chandeliers hung above. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Julia. In front of all their closest friends and loving family, Julia and Chris recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Lemon Parmesan Artichoke Hearts, and Fig, Goat Cheese, and Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed around the Lounge while Classic Margarita and Paper Plane signature drinks were served at the bar where a linen bar menu flowed softly with the breeze. A tan, olive, and ivory lounge sat near the fireplace to offer guests additional seating as they mixed and mingled, and pops of white floral bud vases were sprinkled around the room. At the end of cocktail hour, guests checked the modern seating chart and headed back into the Courtyard.
Tables topped with white roses surrounded a white dance floor with the newlywed’s initials centered in black. Chris and Julia made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table framed in by white candles and flowers. Pear and Walnut Salad was served followed by Chicken Sonoma and Cabernet Braised Short Ribs with Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Brittany. Toasts were shared and the couple cut into our Vintage Heart Cake. For dessert, the newlyweds invited their guests to indulge in our Grand Coffee and Homemade Donut Station and All American Dessert Station with a collection of Gourmet Rice Krispy Treats, Individual Strawberry Shortcakes, Fresh Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies, Mini Apple Crisps, and Banana Cream Pie Shots. The evening ended with lots of dancing, late night Chicken and Beef Flautas, and many photos taken with the bride and groom to commemorate the celebration.
