Summer Courtyard Wedding at Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano
Guests signed Erin and Gilon’s guest book and found a seat in the Serra Plaza Courtyard. White pillars topped with blue and white flowers marked the back of the aisle, and at the head decorating the fountain and chuppah, more flowers filled the ceremony space. Dark bentwood chairs were perfectly positioned in rows and sparkling chandeliers hung overhead. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Erin. In front of all their closest friends and loving family, the bride and groom read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
The Lounge was draped in olive green velvet along the back of the bar that was serving Italian Margarita and Lavender Lemon Drop Martinis. A chocolate brown and tan lounge was situated in front of the fireplace for guests to sit back and relax. Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Caprese Skewers, and Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed around while guests mixed and mingled until the reception.
After checking the seating chart, everyone headed back outside where tables were topped with fresh blue, white, and green floral centerpieces all surrounding a white and wood checkered dance floor. Erin and Gilon made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Toasts were shared and dinner was served starting with Ultimate Caesar Salad then Cabernet Braised Short Ribs and Roasted Atlantic Salmon with Grilled Asparagus and Gourmet Mashed Potatoes. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Arielle. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into our Vintage Two Tier wedding cake that had one layer as almond cake with cappuccino creme filling, and the other layer as lemon blueberry with citrus honey creme. For guests, our Italian Dessert Station with a collection of Chocolate Dipped Cannoli, Florentine Cookies, Meyer Lemon Cheesecake Bars, Tiramisu Dessert Shots, and Spumoni Tarts offered something sweet after the main meal. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves, indulging in Mini Corn Dogs, BBQ Chicken Mini Pizza, and Chicken Pesto Mini Pizza late night snacks, and sharing their well wishes with Gilon and Erin.
