Peach and Blue Courtyard Wedding at Serra Plaza

Peach and Blue Courtyard Wedding at Serra Plaza

Nancy and Jason met in the Sacred Garden at Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look after getting ready at Serra Plaza. A tap on the shoulder turned Jason around to see his beautiful bride standing before him and happy tears immediately filled their eyes. Sweet compliments were exchanged, and private vows were shared, then the couple joined their bridesmaids and groomsmen for photos around the Mission before heading back to Serra Plaza for the ceremony.

Guests signed Nancy and Jason’s guest book and headed into the Serra Plaza Courtyard to find a seat. Peach and blue floral arrangements lined the aisle, and matching flowers decorated the Spanish fountain at the head. Once everyone was in attendance, the music cued up, and the wedding party made their entrances ending with Nancy. Together in front of all their closest friends and family, Nancy and Jason recited their vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Thai Lemongrass Meatballs, Crab Cakes, and Sticky Pork Belly Bites were tray passed around the Lounge while the bar served up the newlywed’s signature cocktails, a Lemon Drop and Transfusion. Everyone mixed and mingled until it was time to head back outside for the reception.

Tables topped with blue candlesticks, blush napkins, and fresh floral centerpieces surrounded a tan and white checkered dance floor. Blue and gold table numbers helped guests find their assigned seats and sparking chandeliers hung overhead. Jason and Nancy made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Tangerine and Pecan Salad was served while toasts were shared, followed by Gochujang Chicken and Vietnamese Braised Short Ribs with Spicy Szechuan Green Beans and Chow Mein. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Brittany. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into their two-tiered, two flavored Almond and White Chocolate Raspberry Cake ad invited their guests to indulge in our Taste of Asia Dessert Station with a collection of Yuzu-Mengo Tarts, Ube Crinkle Cookies, Pandan Cupcakes, Café Sua da Macarons, and Golden Milk Flan. Games were played and dances were shared that worked up an appetite for late-night Fried Chicken and Waffle Bites, Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, and Cuban Papas Rellenas. As the evening came to an end, guests grabbed photos with the bride and groom and shared their well wishes before heading home.
