Modern Meets Vintage Serra Plaza Wedding

Modern Meets Vintage Serra Plaza Wedding

Leah and Alexander met inside Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look on the afternoon of their wedding. A tap on the shoulder turned Alexander around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a lace wedding dress and matching veil. Smiles filled both their faces and sweet compliments were exchanged. After the private moment, the bride and groom were joined by their bridesmaids and groomsmen for group photos. The bridesmaids were dressed in butter yellow dresses, and the groomsmen were suited up in black. Everyone smiled for the camera creating lasting memories for years to come, then headed back to Serra Plaza for the wedding.

Chandeliers hung in the Serra Plaza Courtyard above a ceremony set with purple and green florals. Once everyone was in attendance, the wedding party made their entrances. In front of all their closest friends and loving family, Alexander and Leah read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss. Everyone stood and cheered as the newlyweds made their exit into cocktail hour.

Fig, Goat Cheese, and Mascarpone Tarts and Lamb Meatballs were tray passed around the Lounge and a Mediterranean Tray offered additional bites to snack on. The bar was serving up the bride and groom’s Aperol Spritz and Espresso Martini signature drinks for all to enjoy. Guests mixed and mingled, posed for photos with the newlyweds, and left voice messages at the audio guest book, then headed back into the Courtyard for the reception.

Tables topped with purple and green floral centerpieces, golden candlesticks and candelabras, and vintage gold framed table numbers surrounded the white and black checkered dance floor. Everyone waved their napkins in the air when the bride and groom made their grand entrance and took their seats. Our Mediterranean menu of Grilled Greek Chicken Kabobs, Beef Souvlaki, Grilled Moroccan Vegetables, Persian Saffron Rice, and Greek Salad was served while toasts were shared. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Selena. Afterwards, guests grabbed one of our Old Fashioned Cookies and hit the dance floor. Under the starry sky and ambient, warm light of the chandeliers, everyone danced the night away.
