Modern Meets Tropical Serra Plaza Wedding
Brittany and her bridesmaids got ready inside the Serra Plaza Bridal Suite, joined everyone and Michael for the wedding ceremony over at the Mission Basilica, then posed for photos at Mission San Juan Capistrano. The bridesmaids were dressed in deep green dresses, and the guys were suited up in black. Group pictures were taken against the historic Mission backdrop, then the bride and groom smiled for the camera together. Once all the wedding party photos had been taken, everyone headed back to Serra Plaza for cocktail hour.
Old Fashioned and Dirty Martini signature drinks were served in the Lounge while Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Thai Vegetable Spring Rolls, and Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed. Everyone mixed and mingled until it was time to head out to the Courtyard. A black and gold modern seating chart display stood tall showing guests which tables they were seated at as they headed out the Lounge doors.
Chandeliers sparkled above tables topped with white candles and tropical greenery centerpieces. Back and gold accents completed the modern meets tropical décor. Brittany and Michael made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Chicken Marsala, Cabernet Braised Short Ribs, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Marinated Vegetables, and Caesar Salad were served while family and friends shared toasts. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Selena. After dinner, the newlyweds cut into our Chocolate Cake with Salted Caramel Mousse and invited their guests to indulge in a slice. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their moves, sacking on Gloria’s Caramelized Bacon Wrapped Franks and Fried Chicken and Waffle Bites Late Night Snacks, and sharing their well wishes with Michael and Brittany.
