Fall Wedding at Serra Plaza

Shannon and Chris met against the draped archway backdrop at Serra Plaza for their first look. Smiles filled their faces when they turned to see each other for the first time and sweet compliments were shared. The couple posed for photos then headed into the Bridal Suite where their family met them for a traditional tea ceremony before guests arrived for the courtyard wedding.

A welcome table and sign greeted guests just past the Serra Plaza iron gates and welcomed them into the courtyard. Greenery, rust-colored dried florals, and fresh ivory flowers were arranged at the front and back of the aisle and decorated the Spanish fountain backdrop. Guests found their seats under sparkling chandeliers, and as soon as each seat was filled, the music cued up and the wedding party made their entrances. In front of all their family and friends, Chris and Shannon read handwritten vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Crab Cakes, Beef Picadillo Empanadas, and Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts were tray passed inside the Lounge where a Charcuterie setup was also available to hungry guests. The bar served up Old Fashioned and Paloma signature drinks while guests mixed and mingled during cocktail hour. Tables draped in ivory linen were sprinkled about the space and a modern olive green and tan lounge provided additional seating. Once the sun had set, everyone headed back outside for the reception.

Flickering candles and chandeliers provided a soft, romantic glow in the Courtyard where tables were topped with floral centerpieces and printed menus. Shannon and Chris made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, and took a seat at their sweetheart table. Zucchini Lime Chicken, Filet Mignon Carvery, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Marinated Vegetables, and Tangerine and Pecan Salad were served while toasts were shared. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Selena. After dinner the newlyweds cut into our Vintage Two-Tier wedding cake and invited their guests to indulge in our French Dessert Collection with an assortment of Raspberry Chocolate Decadence Cakes, Lemon Curd Tarts, Vanilla Bean Chocolate Eclairs, Lavender Macarons, and French Apple Tarts. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves, a surprise late night snack of Mini Corn Dogs, and plenty of well wishes shared with the bride and groom.
