Colorful Tropical Serra Plaza Wedding
Huber and Morgan met at Mission San Juan Capistrano for their first look in the Sacred Garden. A tap on the shoulder turned Huber around to see his beautiful bride standing before him in a lace wedding dress. Smiles immediately filled their faces and sweet compliments were exchanged. The photographer snapped a few photos around the mission, then the couple headed back to Serra Plaza where they shared private vows and lined up for their ceremony.
Guests entered Serra Plaza’s Courtyard and took their seats. Vibrant magenta flowers mixed with tropical greens lined the aisle and decorated the Spanish fountain backdrop. Once everyone was in attendance, the music cued up and the wedding party made their entrances. In front of all their closest friends and family, the bride and groom recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Sticky Pork Belly Bites and Sesame Shrimp and Mango Spring Rolls were tray passed around the Lounge and a Poke Station was unveiled to guests for additional cocktail hour fun. The bar served up beer, wine, and the newlywed’s signature drinks, a Mojito and Whiskey Sour. Everyone mixed and mingled until it was time to head back into the Courtyard for the reception.
Tables were topped with colorful, tropical centerpieces and white candles. Huber and Morgan made their grand entrance, shared their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. Thai Three Flavored BBQ Chicken, Vietnamese Braised Short Ribs, Jasmine Rice, Spicy Szechuan Green Beans, and Vermicelli Noodle Salad was served while guests shared toasts. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our event specialist, Lauren. After dinner everyone indulged in our Latin Dessert Station with a collection of Petite Tres Leches Cakes, Mini Caramel Custard Flan, Coconut Macaroons, Churro Eclairs, and Mexican Wedding Cookies for a sweet treat. The evening ended with everyone out on the dance floor showing off their best moves and snacking on late-night Chicken Pesto and Meat Lovers Mini Pizzas.
